在地中海东部，肴腊克利尼亚岛附近的爱奥尼亚海域，有一个许多世纪以来一直在吸取大量海水的“无底洞”。据统计，每天有3万吨海水从这里消失。这些海水到哪里去了呢？为了揭开这个秘密，美国地理学会曾派遣一支考察队去那里考察。考察队把一种经久不变的深色染料溶解在海水中，观察染料如何随海水一起沉下去的。接着又观看附近的海面以岛上河流湖泊，希望能发现这种染料的足迹。结果实验毫无所获。

第二年他们又进行了新的实验。这次是往海水中投放不溶于水的玫瑰色塑料小颗粒。这种塑料颗粒投入海中后，全部被无底深渊所吞没。只要在哪里能够找到一粒这样的塑料颗粒，就能揭示其中的秘密。然而，实验仍然毫无结果，一粒这样的塑料颗粒也未找到。至今谁也不知道这里的海水“漏”到哪里去了。(摘自奥秘画报 2000/5)

哇！这样都不用怕地球暖化了嘛！这个无底洞会吸收海水，不用怕北极或南极的冰融化后的水会淹没整个地球了！

当北极或南极的冰融化到无法补救的时候
这个地球的末日就不会远了！！！
